..but can your watch do this?

I've been using my posh new watch this week. It is basically a Palm Pilot shoehorned onto a wrist strap. (I really wanted a Microsoft Spot watch but the service is not available outside the USA at the moment). Anyhoo, yesterday it did this:

Nifty eh? Perhaps I should get one of these instead.

This is very cool. Can you perhaps describe how you navigate around the interface? What those buttons on the right does ...

An electronic sundial was one of the ideas however there were numerous problems which would either have to be covercome or technically are impossible!!!

Main decider though was the PIC I was coding - that didn't support something I wanted.

The buttons on the top and bottom on the right are page up and page down. The middle button is actually a lever which can be pushed up and down to scroll and pressed in to select. The left hand lower button is a "back" button. And the top left hand thing is a USB port. The whole screen is also touch sensitive, as with a Palm, and you can write on it using the Palm handwriting gestures. It sort of works, the main problems are battery life (only a day or so between charges) and the fact that the text is teeny tiny and a bit hard to read. The thing itself has 8MB of internal RAM and is powered by a 68000 based "dragonball" processor. You can sync with the PS using the standard Palm software, which works well. The watches themselves are now quite cheap, so I suspect that the product is in the process of being withdrawn/retired.
