Just got off the phone. I was talking to Rory about this'n'that, but I wasn't using a phone as such, I was chatting using the XBOX 360 comms. This works surprisingly well. Not quite telephone quality, but pretty good. I've got more into online play over the last few days; I've completed all the races in Project Gotham and now I'm being beaten by human players instead of robotic ones. This is adding a new dimension to the game, as I fight to get out of lowly league 64 and into the higher levels. Since I've gone online I've even had people wanting to be my friend, and so perhaps in a while I'll be able to set up a match with people I know. I've also figured out how to load my own music on to the hard disk and use it for game soundtracks, which is ace. I'm not that keen on the supplied music for Project Gotham, although the classical music is quite neat.. (perhaps this is becuase I'm very old) However, belting down the road to the sound of Steely Dan really is the business.
The next step is to get another console for downstairs. But for that I'll need a better telly........
