PSP Pinball - wizard
Tuesday, February 28, 2006 10:28 PM
Got a game for my PSP last week. Gottleib Pinball Classics. I've always been a bit of a sucker for the silver ball, and I'd heard good things about this game so I picked up a copy. It is very good. As a simulation of the game it is highly impressive.

The Decline of the PC Gamer?
Sunday, February 26, 2006 8:31 PM
I was out shopping yesterday for a copy of Unreal Tournament for the Hull Comsoc Fragfest when I noticed something which is kind of interesting. I think that the PC game scene might be shrinking a bit. All the game shops that I went in, which used to

Hull Comsoc Fragfest
Saturday, February 25, 2006 9:19 PM
Hull Comsoc organised another fragfest today. I went along with my tablet PC and a brand new copy of Unreal Tournament 2004 (I always was one for keeping up with the times) to see how many ways they could find of shooting me. Turned out there are quite

We Love Katamari - oh yes we do
Wednesday, February 22, 2006 1:52 PM
Even though I've not got a 360 I'm still playing games. A couple of weeks ago I bought the PS2 game "We love Katamari". It is a Namco game where you roll a ball around a landscape picking things up that stick to the ball so that it gets so big that

Not as good as it could be
Monday, February 20, 2006 10:17 PM
I thought today would be a good day. I thought my XBOX 360 would show up and tonight I'd be playing with it. Unfortunately not. I was worried that the parties involved (DHL and XBOX 360 support) would not take the issue seriously but I've now got a Trace

Fifty Pence a Gigabyte
Saturday, February 18, 2006 8:56 PM
I'm now using my Tablet PC as my main machine. A liberating and scary experience. Liberating because I always have the latest files with me at all times. Scary because if I drop or lose the thing they all go south with it. Therefore I've resolved to up

How to get a free XBOX 360
Friday, February 17, 2006 6:49 PM
If you want a free XBOX 360, it seems that all you have to do is stand around on Hull University campus for a while. At some point a DHL man will probably come and give you one in a nice box. All you have to do is sign something meaningless on his pad

Wine resistant hardware..
Sunday, February 12, 2006 11:35 AM
I was reading a review of the "next tablet PC that Rob is going to get". Apparently it has: "Enhanced, spill resistant keyboard, hock-absorbing materials to help safeguard critical components..." I wonder if it also works with tea and coffee? http://www.mobilewhack.com/reviews/toshiba_portege_m400-s933_tablet_pc.html

UT, C# and a whole load of fun
Wednesday, February 08, 2006 8:51 PM
Today was our programming competiton with a twist. Andy, Tom and James made a system which lets C# programs control bots in Unreal Tournament. Well, with something like that you've just got to lay on pizza, coke a prize and a whole bunch of students.

The Curse of the Early Adopter
Monday, February 06, 2006 10:27 PM
My lovely, cherished, bought on day of release, XBOX 360 has had to go back to the mender. It got progressively more unreliable and finally I managed to get four (yes four) red quadrants when I turned it on, indicating that something inside was very poorly

Only the one PC
Friday, February 03, 2006 1:39 PM
Up until now I've had three PCs in my working life. One at work, one at home and a tablet in the middle. When my office PC went west a little while back I thought I'd see how I would manage with just one machine, the  portable. I must admit it works
