The Curse of the Early Adopter

My lovely, cherished, bought on day of release, XBOX 360 has had to go back to the mender. It got progressively more unreliable and finally I managed to get four (yes four) red quadrants when I turned it on, indicating that something inside was very poorly sick. Since the shop I bought it from will not have any more for a while I'm trying out the repair and return service. So far things are OK, the machine is at the university awaiting pickup. Maybe in a couple of weeks I'll be back in the games again. A bit sad, becuase I was looking forward to getting a copy of Dead or Alive and having a bash with that.

I suppose that this is the price that you pay if you buy the brandest newest things, altough my original "bought on day of release" XBOX is still going strong. The only ray of sunshine is that at the moment I'm far to busy to be playing games anyway. But I do miss driving my Maclaren, even though it is not real.

Strange, My (bought on release 360) broke 1 week ago today...

still sorting out the repair as the box I needed to pack it into arrived at my house instead of my university accommodation!

Mine has now gone off, after the box arrived on Wed. last week. The service seems very smooth and well managed. Now I'm trying to stop myself from buying another system (for downstairs use....). I've borrowed the one from the department, just so I can keep driving...
