UT, C# and a whole load of fun

Today was our programming competiton with a twist. Andy, Tom and James made a system which lets C# programs control bots in Unreal Tournament. Well, with something like that you've just got to lay on pizza, coke a prize and a whole bunch of students. So they did. And I went along to join in the carnage and take some pictures. Warning, this is a graphics heavy post, so if you are on a slow connection you will have to be patient.

Top notch! It certainly looked like everyone had a ball. I'm very impressived by the set-up and the ability of the students from Hull. Fine example of the potential of the MSP (and similiar) program.

Great post 

It's this sort of thing which make me regret my recent A-Level decisions (Computer Science, Economics, Politics & English) and decided not to pursue IT as a career (although a city technological & business consultancy firm would be no bad thing). I get a real buzz from building systems, setting up OSs and especially developing… so my course choice is a bit weird. But I’m really not good enough and don’t enjoy maths and physics to pursue at A-Level.

I must say that some of those people look truly IT people through and through….

We’ve categorised those who work in ComServ (Computer Services) at school:
• All round good bloke with a sense of humour
• Doesn’t tell his friends that he work in IT and pretends he doesn’t
• So obviously works in IT that he can’t hide it, doesn’t try and just sits there…. He’s slightly hard to communicate with (search my blog for MSDNAA and you’ll read the sorry story).

And wtf do you think you are doing you evil doing evil doers, Coke????? A true sin…. Diet Coke is the way forward.

What’s Andy doing these days anyway? I thought he’d done his year in industry at MS and since left uni, but he seems to pop up all over your posts?
