I got the Windows Mobile News email through yesterday for Feb. (you can sign up too here). Anyhoo, tucked down in the bottom was a link to Microsoft Voice Command for Pocket PC. This program has been around for a little while, but it is now available for sale in europe. So I bought a copy and downloaded it onto my Imate Jasjar.
It is wonderful. It has won prizes. I'm not surprised.
It has transformed the Jasjar from a hard to use ho hum device to a must have piece of kit. I don't have to fiddle around with buttons and pens to do stuff. I just press a button and say "Call David Grey at work" and it does just that. Or I say "Play Pink Floyd" and it does that too. Or "Start Solitaire".Or ask "What are my appointments today" and it just tells me. No training, no hassle, just what I want. With my new Krussell case which allows me to carry and use the device with minimal fuss I think it may have just replaced my Smartphone in my affections.
And that is no small thing to have done.
