Some days everything goes horribly wrong. Other times you get nothing but good news. Today was the latter. First off we had a very good time at Armthorpe school, showing some pupils how computer games get put together, and introducing the wonders of Visual Studio and C#. Then I get back to the office and find that, of the 10 teams which have made the UK finals of the Imagine Cup Software Invitational, 4 have Hull students involved, and I'm mentoring one of them. Great stuff. Next an email to tell me that my XBOX 360 is on its way back from the menders (long story). Finally I get home and the box is waiting for me on the kitchen table. Well cool. The power supply should be with me tomorrow, and then I'm back in the racing.
Many congratulations to all the Hull students whodid so well (guess those late nights paid off eh?), and a great big thanks to XBOX 360 support who have risen to the challenge of solving a problem not of their making.
