Not tired anymore
Sunday, November 13, 2005 7:11 PM

Well, I finally got some sleep. Had been awake since 8am hursday morning and finally clambered into bed 5am Saturday. Suprisinlgy tho I didn't feel as tired as I was expecting. I think you start to get past the tiredness after a while. I even managed to get up at 10 in the morning. Not bad really. Went to see Nanny McPhee at the cinames on Friday night. Was a really good film. The story line maybe isn't that good but it's a really funny film.

The coursework deadlines are looming, 1 next friday and the other two courseworks by the friday after that. Everything shoul dbe fine. Juts need to touch up all of the pieces. Think I'm gonna be working flat out for the next two weeks to try and get the best mark I can. Even though I only have to pass the first year to continue to year 2 and the mark does not count towards my degree, I'm still looking to get the best mark possible. This will help show what I am capable of and also let me know how well i'm doing.

Training for my next run now, 23 miles cross country. The training is a bit boring but the racing is good. Had a race today, part of the East Yorkshire Cross County League. Finished 14th which wasn't bad. City of Hull team should still be in first place with any luck

Tired!
Friday, November 11, 2005 1:14 AM

Feeling quite tired now. For some reason I stayed in the labs from 4pm till 10pm, writing a web page and forum with my freind Graeme. Needless to say, after having continued back at home, I'm feeling very tired. The page is getting somewhere now. It's going to be the home for the Alternative Music Society (AMsoc), which hopefully will be getting registered as a proper society at the uni soon. Just need to advertise it a bit more to get more members.

I wonder if i'm gonna sleep atall tonight. Think I mite just try and get this damned thing working properly so that it can be put up on the web tomrrow sometime. Depends if there are anymmore teething errors though. Got labs at 9am tomorrow (actually today, just realized) so I think that I might be quite tired. Ah, the joys of PHP and HTML.

Faeries
Thursday, November 10, 2005 12:42 PM

The day realy didn't end well yesterday. Me and my girlfreind have been giving each other space for a while (her idea) and I finally got the news last night that it's definitly over. Gutted. But then, atleast we're still going to be freinds which is something. And I suppose it's going to give me more time to do my university work. Just got to get the tickets sorted for a Levellers gig in Sheffield so that we can go there together. Hopefully everything will work out fine. Just gonna put more time into the programming so that I don't have as much time to think about it.

Should having fun sometime at the end of November. Their calling for people to dress up as faeries and hand out condoms around the university. Strange idea but i'm a faerie so I can't realy say no. Should be real funny. Might have to get some piccers taken and get them put up here. Watch this space for some hilarious piccers folks

My first BLOG
Wednesday, November 09, 2005 8:12 PM

Oooh! a BLOG. Thought it was about time I got started on The Spoke so here goes.

Been programming at uni for a couple of months now and it's going real well. Id done some programming before though so it started off fairly easy. I seem to find it quite easy to pick up all of the concepts, and I've even got as far as helping some of the 2nd years fix C++ code for their games module. Not bad realy.

Just been touching up my Mastermind coursework. Decided to make a more updated version to accompany my Console version so I started loading up a form. Took one look at PictureBoxes and thought I'd give the System.Reflection routine a go. Should be pretty good by the time I finish.

Taking this course is probably the best thing ive ever done, well 2nd best but I won't go into that. Suits me down to the ground. And I have to say it, Rob Miles' lecturing style is great. He's my supervisor too which is great. Everything seems to be going well, now if I could only get broadband instead of having to put up with this damned 56K connection :-( That's what you get for living at home. Might be getting it soon though.
