Automation Server Can't Create Object error in Visual Studio.NET 2003

I'm running Windows 2003 server and Visual Studio.NET 2003 and after 2 months of normal usage I got this out of the blue error of Automation Server Can't Create Object when I tried to create a new project, class file or Windows Form.

I have no idea why this error started up out of the blue as I've been using VS2003 fine for over 2 months now.  Even though this error is documented
here, the fix is targeted at either XP & 2000 users, or 9x and NT users by downloading the appropriate Windows SCripting 5.6 package.  The most obvious thing was to try to download the 2000/XP copy but Win 2003 refuses to install it.

I tried everything I could think of, I ran the VS install repair, I uninstalled and reinstalled and I even flushed the user setting keys in registry.  Then somebody with the nickname "yuiunifex" in the C# chat channel on efnet told me the 9x/NT edition of Win Scripting will install on Win2003 and I gave it a try.  To my surprise, it installed AND fixed my problem with not being able to create new projects/solutions/class files/win forms/etc.

And in closing I have to say.... Dear Microsoft, update your support KB for this problem and address Win 2003 users!
