How to cure an ulcer or why the 'purple pill' (Nexium and Prilosec) is a scam

Some people think "the purple pill" is the best thing to ever happen to heart burn.  Well the truth is, you've been hoodwinked.  For starters, you're treating the symptom (stomach pain) and not the cause (acid burn on the stomach/esophagus).  That’s VERY ignorant of one to consider and only American medicine is so blind to promote it.  Ok I didn't word that as well as possible, but keep in mind your stomach ulcer is NOT caused by your body producing too much acid, so reducing your stomach acid is not a good solution.

Enough ranting, let’s get to the meat & potatoes.  If you have an ulcer, something like 85% or more of ulcers are caused by a bacteria which you can get antibiotics for and cure.  The rest of them are because of a mix of your diet and how your body works.  Now I’m not going to tell you to eat less fattier foods and avoid hot sauce, that’s your business.  But you can still eat these foods and skip the burning without having to take overpriced pills or Tums.  Keep one thing is mind here, if the purple pill or an antacid cured your acid reflux, how long would they stay in business?  Well I study as much health info as I do computer stuff and after lots of homework on my ulcer problem a year ago, I discovered that cabbage (or cabbage juice) is the best way to rebuild the wall of your stomach and perhaps esophagus.  And the second thing that’s extremely helpful is to go to your local natural store or vitamin supply (GNC doesn’t carry this) and buy DGL, which is natural licorice root with the (harmful) sugar removed.  You NEED to buy them in a lozenge form, not in a pill as it’s vital you suck on the lozenge so your salvia can digest it before it hits your stomach.

What happens is the DGL actually forms a natural barrier around your esophagus and stomach wall, which you need to suck on approx 20mins before eating.  Then eat about 1 to 2 cups (the more the better) of cabbage a day, which is easy if you mix it into a salad.  I did this and by the 3rd day I noticed a significant change in my acid reflux and by the 7th day, I was 100% cured of my ulcer.  Now I just stay on a maintenance level and try to have 1 lozenge a day and cabbage about 3 times a week.

I also had to pay $3 per pill and at 1 pill per day it was costing $100 per month. It's plain and simple, why sell a cure that costs $10 per month when they can just temporary fix the problem for $100 per month. It's the nature of business and human greed above morales.
