High-Tech outsourcing leads to more jobs in the US, WTF?!

Even though I'm a firm believer that all systems equal out eventually, meaning that even though there is a dissapointing trend to outsource programmers and phone support out of the US, that new careers will open up for some of these workers (as long as they train themselves now).

I see the 2006 era as a re-inventing of the computer between a totally new OS (Longhorn) with a full vector interface, wireless access everywhere, and PDAs as common as cell phones (actually they'll be one and the same device).

Ok now I went off too much into a tangent.  What I originally wanted to rant about was this news story that smells more like hot air than the 'cool breeze on a hot day' it's claiming to be.

WASHINGTON : A study contradicts the theory that outsourcing has hurt the US labor market, indicating that 90,000 net jobs were created in the United States as a consequence of moving high-tech work offshore.

You can read this suspicious piece of news at http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/afp_world_business/view/77974/1/.html

I think John Stossel says it best..

The organization that requested and paid for the study is a big proponent of off-shoring . . .

Suspicious? You're too kind. How about complete bullshit!? (sorry, I had to vent.)
