Buyer's regret.. the ATI All-InWonder
About 6 months ago I purchased the 9600 AIW and at first I liked it. But overtime I've grown to hate it. I have no problems with the 3d aspect of the card but the TV tuner.
I could never get the remote to work right and gave up quickly. Displaying cable TV (non digital that is) is hideous when you display it on a high quality device such as a PC monitor (stick with TVs), the sound is NEVER in synch with the video and the GemStar application (the program that displays the TV stream and gives you TV listings) has horrible bugs and during my entire 6 months of usage, they have not offered a patch for the software.
If I had to do it all over again I would have just purchased a normal 9600 and left cable to my TV, where it works right. Plus to boot I would have either saved a good $50 or used that money to buy the more powerfull 9600 Pro. I don't know exactly where my problems lay; ATI or GemStar, but leave it to say I have no interest in any future TV tuner setup despite it's maker, especially if it uses GemStar software.
