Government just can't keep their non-technical fingers out of Microsoft
It seems the European governments just can't keep out of the software business. If was bad enough when they demanded that they want a version of WindowsXP without Media Player (lets not forget Media Player has been in Windows since the VERY early 90s, way before Win95) and now they want DRM removed. While I'm not happy with the way DRM has been architected and I have proposed a far superior solution on here in the past, I couldn't agree with just giving up on DRM. The only way DRM is going to work is to implement a system (even if it's flawed) and when the end user (aka paying customer) hates it, the industry will be forced to improve it.
