Simplest feature IE7 needs and lacks
I think most people are like me, they listen to music while they surf. So i'm guessing I'm not the only person who hates going to a web page and hearing some lane mp3 or midi playing. Now while they site might have a control to turn off the music or you could dig around in the hidden Tools > Internet Options > Advance > Multimedia and turn off all IE sound (I hate to do that) both of these solutions suck at best they require a good understanding of the web and/or IE, neither of which the average person has.
I feel that just like Windows Media Player, IE needs a speaker icon where you can mute, possibly even a volume control. And ideally this will propigate to any IE plug, be it a WMP movie, flash animation, etc. Below is a screenshot of a qick mockup I did for IE7, but you can alos view a working example in this flash animaton.
Just click the speaker icon in the far right side of the flash.

PS: I'm on vacation for a week but when I return I'll post a quick VBSript I wrote that will keep your IIS logs under control. (My Intranet logs are 25megs per day! The entire C drive would fill in only 10months without this script).
