I won't lie, I'm a FireFox user. Even though I do web developement for a living where 99.999% of my users are on IE6, I prefer FireFox for my personal web surfing. Despite, I can say that I do like IE7. Ever since I saw it went RC1 last week, I knew it was time to give it a shot. I installed it inside a VM session, liked it, and installed it at home.
I won't lie, I still prefer the feel of FireFox, and I love my plugins, but I can forsee the possibility of making the swtich back to IE.
I can say one thing, with a good default browser in Windows, I can definetly see a cap on FireFox expansion. Power users will stick with FireFox, but the average user will find IE7 gives them everything they need.
Despite the rumors I've read, IE7 is lite on ram and cpu, considering how cache greedy FireFox is, I love IE7's smaller footprint. IMHO FireFox would be a better choice if you had the ram to spare and were on dialup. Perhaps FireFox 2.0 won't hold onto previous page's cache infinetly (how about a 60min flush guys!)
