I'm very impressed with the upcoming version of MSN Messenger, ie. Windows Live Messenger now! I downloaded the beta, and I tired login into but the server rejected me! I guess the server accepts only those logins which are accepted as beta testers.. Does anyone know how to register for Windows Live Messenger beta testing? I desparately wanna try the new Messenger ( though i pretty sad that we'll be missing our msn butterfly ) :(

I think you'll need to be a live.com (or Windows Live Mail) beta tester.
That will be the best shot in "long" term (when the thing is released)

I can only say, it's ugly. This will waste cpu. I'm not instaling it at my computer. Rather stick to MSN 6.2. It's everything I need! =)

to Xillion: i did register at live.com ... also i have already appllied for office live testing... dunno.. i guess as benjamin said.. i'll wait :(

to Mr|ce: you gotta try new softwares from Microsoft.. they're far better,,, smoother and very flashy!! msn 6.* is nothing compared to 7.5 .. i guess you gotta try new softwares to help you decide which is good and which is not

to Shauryaanand: I have tried every single MSN. Tried 7.0 and 7.5 , beta and finals. And what I hate is, that I must change on MSN website my country to America, that I can send or accept files from who. I don't want any other programs, which removes one function from MSN Messenger. That's absurd. I also don't like the widgets and nudges. Why are this in?!? What is their purpose? =)

I don't know why I need flashy stuff? Not everyone wants glamorous new stuff. Not everyone has a brand new computer. f.e.: I have a Pentium 2 350MHz (128mb ram, 20gb disk, an old 3d card... with running Windows XP!!) and I don't need flashy stuff. I don't want to waste CPU power. Also Winamp g Iot better, it's now (i think) in version 5.0.9.. and doesn't work at slow PCs, because of it's design and features... I click play and the track jumps... I erased it immediatly :P

So, see... if it's new, doesn't mean it's more reliable and so on... ;)

Indeed, you name there a few problems I encounter a lot.
I fix computers for friends/family/... but those pc's aren't the newest and everything but fast. But those people want to be able to do everything. So fix them an XP installation but strip everything down.
Major problem: MSN can't be stripped down. You "have" to upgrade, and the things are getting heavier. So if that's the same with Live Messenger, than quite some people won't upgrade because of the system spec's you need to run it at a decent speed.
