This morning, when I first opened the homepage of the competition, it showed how many competitors from each country, and the leading countries are Brazil with about 3 thousands people and India with around 2 or 3 thousands. After 12 hours, I checked the stats again and it said there are 23 thousands Brazilian contestants (!!!), 12 thousands Indian contestants (!!!). Even for my country, Vietnam, it raised from about 60 people to around 400 people. Did the admin change the formula to calculate # of contestants or it just got increased incredibly fast after 12 hours???

btw, one suggestion for the the country stats is to add both # of people have registered and # of people have actually begun to compete from each country.

I think devoting a page for comprehensive statistics would be great ... a page where one can view for each country:
the number of contestants, number of registred theSpoke users, Number of leaders on the leader board.
I also suggest publishing statistics about different countries users's activity in forums, on blogs and hubs. I really dislike seeing all those empty hubs and blogs. It just gives me frustration to open for example the hubs of imagine cup to see no content at ll. I think Such staistics can motivate people to participate more positivly.

How about adding up all the points from every contestant from a given country? Like an algorithmic Olympics :^)
It'd be interesting to see then which countries have the most interest in the competition

At least you should make it the average points of all constestants with non-zero points from each country. Otherwise, country with the largest amount of contestants may also be the one with "the most interest in the competition ^_^

Does anyone understand what the country stats in the homepage really are ? On the leaderboard page it says there are 1715 contestants.
