Hi,

As I brought my girl to bed and spend another long night on my proposal I was wondering if somebody else is feeling the same way now? Especially the people I know from last years finals? How are you doin? Already finished your proposal? Personally I still have a long road to walk (and write) most of the thinking is now done.

Cheers and Good Luck!

I spend allot of days and nights for this proposal, but I begin to lose my trust in me and in my capabilities. Is too hard for me to work, learn and respond to proposal. I know that the contest is the most important think but I have also some duties with my family :). About sleep… what’s that? Is the time in our life when we dream? I think that the most beautiful dream is to go again in final round of Imagine Cup, and this dream come true only with the eyes opened and allot of coffee :)).

Hi,

actually is nice to hear that we are in the same situation. Studying, Working, Making a sound proposal- it's all to much for a 24hour day. The proposal grows bigger and bigger and every time I finished one aspect I get a new idea for another one. But I think it's important to keep precise and to the point so I will limit myself to 25 pages including diagramms.

Hope to see you whether we meet in Delhi or you come some day to Vienna!

Cheers!
Andi

I'm in review stage and I have 30 pages including diagrams. I draw a diagram for each service, but I think that I can optimize the diagrams by cumulating services. I concern that there is a little trick, but I can’t find it yet.  My point of view is that there we must simplicity as much as possible, because the whole system must be implemented as quickly as possible.

Andy what do you think about last years past winners business plan's? It was your BP better than this plans?

My technical design is nearly finished but service management will give me quite some sleepless hours too.

Concerning last years winners business plans. As far as I know you were winners because your quiz score and your business case was very good. I was number 12 or 13 in the quiz and the graded me 5th because of my plan last year. So my plan was good I think but I would not say better. It was structured another way and was far more compact. I think all business plans have their pro and cons, which one will win this year? We will see. But I like it precise, simple and clear.

As of that Service Management is a Problem. You can write tons of pages but to sum it up tp 5-7 pages is really a challenge.

Cheers!

I think that there must be a creative and sintetic plan because we must present it to stakeholders... so must be simple and clear.

hmm ... we present it to stakeholders but ....it is evaluated by specialists  :)

Do you think that is more important to write more and more (or copy from other materials) or to make more drawings?

I think writing too much is as bad as writing to less. Just simply point out the key concepts, they will see if you understand your stuff.  Diagramms are nice to point out complex constructions but to much will disrupt you text flow as one tries to tell a story.

Just my 2 cents!
