Okay, so I'm posting after the world cup. But I've been an Italy fan all my life and I have to say I was pessimistic about our chances in the beginning. If you understand what being a tifosi is, I'm not claiming that I am (but I understand how they feel), Italians have a way of turning against themselves. They tend to focus on the negative things, more like Filipinos do, and also in politics. You know the talent's there, but they have a habit of keeping their mind on other things.
Good thing they kept their minds on playing, and even though many might disagree with me that they played the most solid football throughout the tournament, I'd have to say they did deserve to beat everyone that got in their way to glory.
