I have recently been asked to design and develop my Univeristy assignment in VB.Net 2003, when I asked could i do it in 2005 i was told no because the Univeristy does not run it, and my code would not be compatible.  I then tracked down a copy of VS.NET 2003 from the Microsoft Academic Alliance via University and when i went to install it on my newly installed Windows Vista guess what it would not install ,

So not only had i to go backwards and develop in 2003 but i also had to downgrade my system to XP ,

I am just wondering if anybody in any other colleges or university have had similar issues.
