The first round of the Software Design Invitational (India) is very simple. Just send us your abstract by 15th January. The abstract should not be greater than 2 pages. It should contain -

1. The problem that you are trying to solve (Note - that the problem you are attempting to solve whould be aligned with the theme of Imagine Cup
2. A couple of scenarios that you will be including in your solution
3. Technologies that you are planning to use for designing the solution

The 100 projects selected by our expert panel will move on to the 2nd round. The abstracts will be judges on the basis of Problem definition, Innovation, Effectiveness and Impact. Read more about the software design invitaional.

Important dates -

• 1st January 2006 - Round 1 submissions (Software Design) opens
• 31st January 2006 - Round 1 submissions end
• 7th Feburary 2006 - Top 100 teams announced
• 28th Feburary 2006 - Round 2 submission deadline

Early bird prizes for the first 500 teams to submit their entries in Round 1.
